Feeling a bit blue today so I decided to cheer myself up with happy thoughts. What better way to do that than to go back to the happiest place on earth, DISNEYLAND *insert giddy dance here*!

For HKD 450 (or PhP2,700) per person, Marv and I were able to reminisce our childhood and act like kids again! And the best part was I got to be Minnie Mouse for a day! Hihihi.

When we lived in Los Angeles sometime in 1989 or 1990, my mom and aunt would bring my cousins and I to world-renowned theme parks like Universal Studios and Disneyland, but the latter has always been my favorite!

My first time in Disneyland. I appreciate my mom's attempt to make my outfit Disneyland-ready.

Marv and I agreed to celebrate his 2013 birthday in Disneyland. He was hesitant at first but eventually gave in. And when we were inside, he surprisingly transformed into a little boy, excited to try all the rides, taking videos of everything we did in the kingdom of Mickey Mouse!

Disneyland also has the power to make bad-ass bully girls like me feel like a princess -- a Disney princess!!! Heehee.

Main Street, USA

Marv's 1st ride in Disneyland. We rode it three times straight! I had to tell him that there were still plenty of other rides.
Scary
This is Marv's kind of humor hehe
It's A Small World -- my favorite ride ever since I was a child! And I was still singing and clapping my hands all throughout the ride!

I've read in a some website that there are actually 38 Disney characters in this ride. We didn't see all and we were only able to take a photo of only 5 of them -- probably because I was too busy singing hehe.

Mowgli & Baloo from Jungle Book

Aladdin, Jasmine, and Abu

Philippines!
Find the hidden Minnie

A trip to Disneyland will never be complete without the meet-and-greet with the beloved characters! There were extremely long queues for each character so I just selected those I was crazy about.

Snow White, Goofy, Aurora, and Pluto

With the power couple

Festival of the Lion King

I think this was Marv's favorite area because of the RC Racer

This one's the RC Racer. It reminded me of the Anchor's Away but this one's steeper.
I am intensely scared terrified of heights and of course, it includes roller coasters. But I must say, I was proud of myself because I was the one who dragged Marv to the RC Racer and I was able to ride it once (yes, I got emotional teary-eyed cried during the ride, what's new). Marv, on the other hand, just had to ride it twice or thrice (show-off).

Mystic Manor! Never leave Disneyland Hong Kong without trying this.

Pretending I was still on the Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars -- such a fast ride!
We won't miss the parade for anything. Waited for more than an hour but look, we got front-row seats!
We also caught their Halloween parade. The park was filled with black light. The costumes kinda freaked me out.
Ended Marv's birthday with the highlight of the theme park. Synchronized to Disney OSTs, amazing fireworks light up the sky, beautifully framing Cinderella's castle.

We're so blessed and thankful that we were able to celebrate Marv's birthday in the happiest place in the planet, Disneyland. Sayang, akala ko mag-propropose na during the fireworks.

I hope I was able to share the magic with you!
